Dr. Burke grew up in Madrid, Iowa, and completed his undergraduate studies at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training. He then completed a Master’s degree in Kinesiology through A.T. Still University. Dr. Burke received his medical education at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Burke completed a comprehensive three-year podiatric surgical residency at University Health in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions. His training included foot and ankle deformity correction, sports medicine, foot and ankle trauma, wound care, and limb salvage. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Burke is committed to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes through both conservative and surgical treatment options. He takes great care to ensure that each patient understands their condition, treatment plan, and available options. He places a high value on patient education and shared decision-making, believing that informed patients are active partners in their healthcare. Dr. Burke also works diligently to stay current with the latest medical literature, surgical techniques, and treatment advancements to provide the highest quality care.

Outside of work, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time with his wife, Nora, and their two children. Whether watching or coaching youth sports, attending Kansas City Royals games, training his hunting dogs, or pursuing upland hunting, he enjoys making the most of the outdoor opportunities the Kansas City area has to offer.
